How a piece is made
From a conversation to a fitting
We talk about the day
The occasion, the colours you love, how much sparkle feels like you. Bring photos, a dupatta from your mother, anything.
Sketch and swatches
A drawing of the silhouette with fabric, thread and border samples, so you can touch the choices before they are made.
Hand embroidery
Motifs are traced and worked by hand: zari, sequins, pearls and stones, one section at a time.
Fitting and finishing
A trial fitting, then the last details: latkans, hems and closures, adjusted until it sits just right.
What Sneha makes
A designer for the whole occasion
Everything is cut and made to measure at the studio in Phursungi, Pune — for brides, for mothers and daughters, and for the littlest ones in the family.
Bridal & wedding lehengas
Bridal lehengas and wedding-day sets designed with you from the first sketch: the silhouette, the palette, and how much work you want carried across it. Come early, so there is room for fittings.
Designer & custom blouses
Saree blouses and lehenga blouses cut to your measurements — embroidered or plain, sleeveless, high-neck or tie-back. Bring the saree and the blouse is built around it.
Gowns & party wear
Floor-length designer gowns and party-wear lehengas for receptions, sangeets and evenings out, in satin, net and layered tulle.
Girls' & kids' dresses
Designer dresses for girls: kalidar lehengas, one-piece party frocks and twirling gowns, made to her measurements and finished so they survive being danced in.
Bespoke commissions
A piece you have only seen in your head, or a traditional dress remade for now. Bring a photograph, a colour, or your mother's dupatta, and we work out together how it gets made.
The atelier
Every piece starts with स्नेह, affection, for the person who will wear it.
Sneha designs occasionwear for women and for little girls, often for both at once, so a mother and daughter can arrive at the same celebration in pieces that speak to each other. Her work moves between soft pastel embroidery on ivory net and bold, festive colour, but the method stays the same: careful drawing, honest fabrics and a lot of handwork.
Sneha Atelier is the studio of Sneha Anand, a fashion designer in Pune, Maharashtra. She makes custom lehengas, designer blouses and gowns for women, and lehengas, party gowns and dresses for girls.
Based in Pune, Maharashtra. Commissions are taken in small numbers so each one gets proper time.
