What we make
Designer lehengas, blouses and gowns, made to measure in Pune
Nothing here is bought off a rail. Every piece is drawn, cut and fitted for one person at the studio in Phursungi, Pune — whether that is a bride, a mother and daughter arriving together, or a four-year-old who intends to spend the evening spinning.
For the wedding
Bridal & wedding lehengas
A bridal lehenga is designed with you from the first sketch: the silhouette, the palette, and how much work you want carried across the skirt, the blouse and the dupatta. We talk about the venue and the hour of the ceremony too, because thread and sequin read very differently in daylight and under evening lights.
Wedding-party pieces are made the same way — sangeet and reception lehengas, engagement sets, and outfits for the sisters and mothers who need to stand beside the bride without matching her exactly.
Bridal commissions need the most time, mainly for fittings. Come as early as you can.
Cut to your measurements
Designer & custom blouses
Blouses are their own craft, and they are taken as commissions on their own — you do not need to be ordering a lehenga to have one made.
Saree blouses are built around the saree you bring, so the border, the weave and the fall of the pallu decide the neckline rather than the other way round. Lehenga blouses are drawn as part of the set. Both can be plain, lightly finished, or embroidered by hand in zari, sequins, pearls and stones.
Necklines, sleeve lengths, backs and closures are all yours to choose: sweetheart, round or high-neck; sleeveless, short, puff or full; tie-back, open-back, or closed with covered buttons. Bridal blouses are worked in the heaviest detail, and fitted more than once.
For the evening
Designer gowns & party wear
Floor-length gowns for receptions, engagements and evenings that are not quite traditional — built in satin, net and layered tulle, with structure through the bodice so the piece holds its shape all night.
Party-wear lehengas and lighter festive sets sit here too: less weight than a bridal piece, easier to move and dance in, still made to your measurements rather than altered down from a standard size.
For the little ones
Girls’ & kids’ dresses
Designer dresses for girls, made with the same drawing and fitting as the grown-up pieces: kalidar panelled lehengas that open into a full circle, one-piece party frocks, and tulle gowns built for twirling.
Children’s pieces are finished differently because they are worn differently. Seams are bound, closures are adjustable where they can be, and the surface work is set so it survives being sat on, run in and slept in on the way home.
Mother-and-daughter sets are a favourite here — two pieces that share a palette or a motif without turning into costumes.
Anything else
Bespoke & traditional commissions
Some pieces do not fit a category. A dress you have only seen in your head. A traditional outfit remade so it can actually be worn now. An heirloom saree or dupatta that should become something else rather than stay in a cupboard.
Bring a photograph, a colour, a fabric, or the garment itself, and we work out together whether it can be made and what it would take. If it is not something the atelier should take on, you will be told that honestly rather than quoted for.
Starting a commission
How it begins
Message Sneha with the occasion, the date and who the piece is for. She replies personally, and the first conversation is about the day rather than the dress.
